Course content of Training I is the analysis of the ongoing stream of hand movement behaviour, i.e., all movements and rests, that are displayed during speaking or interaction. The behaviour is segmented and classified with the NEUROGES® categories Activation, Structure, Focus, and Contact. Further contents are the application of NEUROGES® in ELAN and empirical research incl. interrater reliability and statistical procedures. Training I comprises 36 hours (à 45 minutes) seminar, 40 hours self-study, and 4 hours exam and closes with the NEUROGES® I certificate. (For more detailed information about the seminar program, see download). Following the accreditation of the University of Zurich, for NEUROGES Training I a credit of 2 ECTS points can be applied for at other universities.
